There are a number of ways in which you can become involved with our work & help us to support vulnerable families into accommodation.
Too many of our neighbours are entering accommodation without basic furniture.
In 2015, 2,848 furniture items were delivered to 895 homes whom were undergoing resettlement, suffering crisis & experiencing financial hardship. Securing basic items of furniture allows vulnerable people & their families to establish a more stable and independent lifestyle and maintain their tenancy. You can help us by supporting our daily operational costs & gift as little as £3 per month to help us relieve poverty in our community.
We can collect your unwanted, good-quality furniture for free. Donate it today & support people in hardship.
Call 0161 456 0717 or request a collection online
We collect single & double mattresses, divan beds & bed frames, three piece suites, sofas/settees and chairs, drop leaf tables, small dining tables & coffee tables, dining chairs, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, wardrobes & storage units, small display units & bookcases.
We would not be able to operate without the ongoing dedication of volunteers & work placements within the community who donate their time, for as little as 3 hours per week.
Areas of volunteering regularly include admin in the offices, labour work assisting on the vans, repairing woodwork and upcycling through chalk paint, sorting through the warehouse – see current vacancies.
