A supporters group has been established which provides important regular income to support the ongoing activities. Many funding agencies are only prepared to provide funding for specific purposes, rather than for general ongoing operating costs such as the vehicle running costs, rent and utilities.

Many small but regular contributions can make all the difference to ensuring the Furniture Station continues to deliver the vital support to its clients (both those who donate and receive items). Supporters Group members may be individuals or local businesses and organisations. One supporter says ‘At a time when there are so many demands for international charitable giving it is really good to have an opportunity to support on a regular basis a local charity delivering very real support to its local community and at the same time reducing the amount of material going to landfill sites’
