Who is eligible?
To be able to access the services in which The Furniture Station offers, you must be a resident in Stockport and receiving a means-tested benefit; which are checked by a Referral Agency.
How do I get furniture?
Step 1:
Anyone who needs the support of The Furniture Station should contact one of our Referral Agencies who will ensure a visit is booked with us.
Our Referral Agencies include:

- Community Health Workers, NHS Stockport – please contact your nearest Health Clinic.
If you are unsure who your nearest or most appropriate Referral Agency is please ring us on 0161 456 0717 for advice.
Step 2:
Once confirmed by your referral agency, you will be printed out a visit form and shall be able to turn up anytime during our opening hours (Mon-Thurs 9.15-11.45am) to come visit our warehouse and select the furniture and white goods you need.
Step 3:
Once the charges have been agreed and paid for, your items shall be delivered to your home on an agreed date.

Furniture and household goods (prices from): Three piece settee (£25), settee (£15), Armchair (£10), Display Units (£10), Bookcase (£5), Coffee Table (£5), Dining Table (£10), Dining Chairs (£2.50), Desk (£10), TV units (£5), Wardrobe (£10), Drawers (£10), Bedside cab (£5), Dressing Table (£10), Single bed (£5), Double bed (£10).
Electrical items: Cookers (including delivery and installation) (£50), Fridge/Freezers (£35), Fridges (£10), Microwave Ovens (£10), Vacuum Cleaners (£10). Please note that electrical items are allocated and not selected.
There is often a waiting list of second hand cookers and fridge freezers, and a limited number of second hand beds; please call before your visit if you require these. Alternatively, brand new items may also available at the following costs: Single beds (£35), double beds(£50), cots (£60), cookers (£145), and fridge freezers (£140).
All prices include delivery and fitting. All electrical items are tested in our workshop. Any delivery under £10 will be charged at a minimum rate of £10.
Children are not allowed in the warehouse.
