May 14th 2012 – July 30th 2012 – Open Art Competition
An Open Art competition has now launched. We need you to design a piece of art for the front of our charity greeting cards. You can draw, photograph, paint, or create a graphic for the art piece; there is no theme – just be original and creative.

Art Competition
Six final pieces will be chosen by our panel of judges and announced at our fun day celebration with prizes (date to be decided & posted shortly) and of course will printed for the production of our greeting cards to go on sale in Stockport. Tuesday 19th June, 10am-3pm, Stockport Town Hall – Carer Information Day 2012
Amongst many other local organisations, we will be holding an information stall to deliver more information to carers in raising awareness of the work we do and how we can help.
Saturday 14th July, Torkington Park – Hazel Grove Carnival 2012
The Furniture Station will be joining Hazel Grove Carnival this year. More information to follow.
Saturday 21st July, Woodbank Park – Stockport Carnival 2012
The Furniture Station will be joining Stockport Carnival this year. More information to follow.
Sunday, 5th August, 10am, Stockport 10k legacy Event 2012
Competing amongst several hundred runners in a Stockport 10k, The Furniture Station are looking for participants to run 10k in aid of The Furniture Station. If you are interested in running and raising funds for the furniture station charity, call Joanne on 0161 483 9010 or email joanne.watson@furniturestation.org.uk . Registration is only £15 each or £12.50 for each group of 3. Further information to be provided.
September 2012 (Date TBD) – Fun Day Celebratory Event
More information to follow to celebrate our 2012 Art & Photograph competitions for the production of our 2013 calendar & greeting cards; and to celebrate the efforts of our 20 runners in this years 10k.
Saturday 8th December – Werneth Concert Band
Werneth Concert Band are playing here at Hazel Grove Baptist Church from 7.30pm. Tickets to go on sale in due course.

Thursday 23rd February & 1st March, 10.00am – Referral Agency Forum
A forum has been organised for all our Referral Agencies to address the new referral process, review the referral system and discuss any issues or concerns. If you are one of our referral agencies and haven’t yet booked your place on one of the dates above, call now on 0161 483 9010.
Monday 6th February, 8pm – Visit & presentation to Norbury Mens Group, Hazel Grove.
The Furniture Station made their way to Norbury Men’s group to further demonstrate the charity services provided in the area.
Saturday 28th January, 12.45pm – Bag Packing at Sainsbury’s, Hazel Grove
Well done bag packers, just under £300 was raised through our volunteers helping our local shoppers pack their bags at Sainsbury’s supermarket!
Tuesday 24th Januray, 2pm – Visit & presentation to Tuesday at Two, St Mary’s
The Furniture Station made their way to Cheadle to conduct a presentation to St Mary’s Tuesday at Two and demonstrate the charity services provided in the area.
Sunday 22nd January , 10.15am – Visit to Norbury Church, Hazel grove
The Furniture Station made their way to Norbury Church to conduct a presentation to the congregation and demonstrate the charity services provided in the area.
