How can I donate furniture?
If you’d like to donate furniture we can come collect it free of charge, normally within 2 to 14 working days. If you are able to bring an item to The Furniture Station please ring us on 0161 456 0717 to arrange an appropriate time.

What do we collect?
Furniture items: divan beds, 3 piece suites, settees, settees and chairs, drop leaf tables, dining chairs, drawers, wardrobes, bedside cabinets, coffee tables and small display units.
Electrical items: Free standing electrical cookers, fridges and fridge-freezers, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners.
Need Fixing? Free standing electrical cookers and vacuum cleaners are the only items we are currently able to repair.
Items we CANNOT accept: Gas appliances, cots, metal frame beds, bunk beds or wooden slatted beds, single arm chairs, four seater settees, large dining room tables or large heavy wardrobes, sideboard units over 3′ wide, kitchen units, computers, televisions or small electrical items.
Please note that all furnishings must comply with Furniture and Fire [Safety] regulations 1988. This is usually identified by a label sewn into a suite, bed or upholstered dining chair. All glass must be marked as Safety Glass or could be removed from the item of furniture to make the item usable. ALL beds must be under 5 years old, clean and with a fire label. We only accept 4’6″ or 3″ divan beds.
What areas do we collect from?
We collect from all Stockport areas including surrounding areas within Greater Manchester. We also welcome furniture donations from Cheshire (Macclesfield, Adlington, Tytherington, Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow & Poynton) on particular days. Please call us if you are unsure.
