Waitrose does it again!

Cheadle Hulme’s Waitrose store selected The Furniture Station as one of their charities on their Community Matters Scheme in May 2016. As their customers inserted their green tokens into our box, they helped to raise £216 to help fund our work. Thank you Waitrose, your staff & customers for supporting us.

£216 will allow us to make 72 deliveries by covering for their fuel costs alone. That’s 72 local families experiencing hardship who may not have furniture, able to receive basic, essential items to help make their house into a home.

Did you miss it? That’s OK, you can still support our work…

We are very pelased to hear Cheadle’s John Lewis store has also chosen to support our work with more green tokens at their instore cafe this August! So when you receive that green token following your transaction at ‘The Place To Eat’, you can help us just by inserting your token into The Furntiure Station’s box. That Simple!

It’s a very challenging year to maintain funds for our costs. We continue to support around 900 homes each year to those suffering crisis by supplying good-quality re-usable furniture and we do that with just 4 staff and 26 wonderful volunteers. Every penny donated is truly valued so that we can continue to help our neighbours live more independently.

Thank you!
